International Women’s Day

March 8, 2024

The International Women’s Day was officially recognized by the United Nation in 1977, it is celebrated every 8th of March. It is a global day celebrating the social, political, cultural achievements of Women.

In the ongoing quest for equality and inclusion, women have played a pivotal role as trailblazers, advocates, and catalysts for change. From breaking barriers in traditionally male-dominated fields to championing social justice causes, women around the world have made significant strides towards creating more equitable and inclusive societies. At the heart of this progress lies the concept of inspired inclusion – a transformative approach that not only acknowledges the value of diversity but actively harnesses it to drive positive change.

Despite the significant range of perspectives, experiences, and talents women bring to the table, women continue to face barriers to full inclusion and participation in many areas of life. From glass ceilings in corporate boardrooms to systemic biases in hiring and promotion practices, gender-based discrimination persists in various forms. Inspired inclusion seeks to break down these barriers by challenging outdated norms and practices, advocating for gender equality policies, and creating pathways for women to advance and succeed on their own terms.

Women have long been at the forefront of social change movements, advocating for issues ranging from reproductive rights to gender-based violence prevention. By amplifying women’s voices and experiences, we can shine a spotlight on important issues, challenge stereotypes and misconceptions, and drive meaningful change. Inclusive leadership is essential for creating environments where women can thrive and succeed. Inspired inclusion calls for leaders who value diversity, foster a culture of respect and belonging, and actively seek out and elevate women’s voices and perspectives. By cultivating inclusive leadership practices, organizations can create a culture of trust, collaboration, and innovation that benefits everyone. When women are given the opportunity to lead and influence decision-making processes, they can drive positive change and help build more inclusive and equitable institutions.

EERC is an international organization with zero tolerance to discrimination to gender, race, color or socio-cultural background. The organization takes high regards in appointing leadership to women and continues to build their capacity in diverse areas.
